To my knowledge, the last Hamer serial number stamped in the shop before Hamer USA was permanently closed in 2014, is #456449. If you'll check the 'For Sale' board here today, there are two 2008 Standards listed, and their serial numbers are #855828 (mid-February, 2008 build) and #856132, from later that year after Crown inlays were temporarily suspended from use under FMIC rule. Serial numbers on Hamer CH-12’s Regardless of whether they were built in South Korea, Indonesia or China, all imported Hamer Chaparral 12-string basses have 7-digit serial numbers. The serial number and country of origin are printed onto a sticker or decal rather than being stamped into the wood. Also see Headstock Styles and Logo Styles for help determining when your guitar was made (particularly helpful if there is no serial number). Note: Any guitar with a serial number with the prefix 'SI' is Indonesian-made. Note #2: Guitars with no serial number were produced at many different times. Samick branded models did not start using serials until around 1987.

The Hamer Archtop Tremolo
Hamer Guitar Serial Number Search Lookup
The Archtop Tremolo is based on the Hamer Studio body, the third classic Hamer design introduced in 1977. Upgraded with a solid Maple top on Mahogany body, the tone is beefy yet focused and a Dark Cherry Burst on figured Maple veneer results in a visually inspiring instrument. The SATFW comes standard with a Wilkinson Tremolo and classic Hamer controls and switch orientation.
